BUFFALO BILLS ALUMNI FOUNDATION 2009 RECAP

The Buffalo Bills Alumni Foundation held its "Annual Weekend of Events" in mid September as part of the 50th Season Celebration of Buffalo Bills football.

This three-day extravaganza is the Buffalo Bills Alumni's marquee fundraiser for the year. Last year, the Buffalo Bills Alumni Foundation achieved a major milestone in its 20-year history by reaching the ONE MILLION DOLLAR mark in charitable giving to Western New York not-for-profits.

The Buffalo Bills Alumni Foundation played a major role in this grand celebration. The Alumni's Golden Gala which was held at the Seneca Niagara Events Center in Niagara Falls, NY, officially honored and recognized the Buffalo Bills 50th Season All-Time Team. The 26 all-time greatest Buffalo Bills, as selected by the fans voting on the Bills website, were presented their awards on stage by Bills Alumni President Booker Edgerson, Event Chairman Charley Ferguson along with the Bills All-Time Team 50th Season Head Coach, Marv Levy. More than 700 guests in attendance enjoyed a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and party with this celebrated All-Time Bills Team.

At the Bills home opener, the Alumni Foundation held their VIP Tailgate Party at the facility field directly behind the Buffalo Bills Field House. More than 500 guests enjoyed fabulous food catered by BW's Barbeque and beverages provided by Anheuser Busch and Pepsi.

The finale of the Alumni Foundation's Weekend of Events was the Annual Celebrity Charity Golf Classic at the Lancaster Country Club. A celebrity golfer played with every foursome in this sold-out annual tournament. This is one of the most outstanding celebrity golf tournaments in New York State.

"There was a lot of excitement surrounding this year's Bills Alumni Weekend", said Alumni President, Booker Edgerson. "It was just a very special celebration as we recognized the greatest players in the 50-year history of the Bills," added Edgerson.
